The Crow Wing County Jail's Program Division works with offenders, staff and volunteers to provide a safe and secure facility while offering offenders the opportunity for corrective personal growth.
Programs and services offered are designed to help inmates with the tools necessary to become more productive citizens upon their re-entry into the community, and in addition, assist jail staff with inmate management by keeping offenders occupied in a positive manner.
Programs staff, along with approximately 150 volunteers, provide over thirty programs including:
Adult Basic Education
Basic Computer Skills
Job Skills and Preparation
Card and Board Games
Exercise and Fitness Education
Set Free Treatment
MN Teen Challenge Life Renewal Treatment
People wishing to share their time and talents with Crow Wing County inmates are required to complete a Volunteer Application. The applications are found in the Volunteer Information Packet (PDF). Packets can be printed or picked up at the front desk of the jail. Please return the application by mail, in person or by fax. Please contact our Programs Unit staff if you have any questions about volunteering.
